Your task for this mission will be to use the internet to search for answers about the planets. You and your crew will fill out the chart attached to the bottom of this page and create a presentation outlining the things that you have learned. You will be answering questions about the planets that include their distance from the Sun, average size and temperature, rotation, whether they are an inner or outer planet and one fun fact.
Before you begin your mission, you must pick the members of your crew! Each crew should consist of four members, all assigned to a different role:
Captain: The Captain is in charge of facilitating group work. This member should be leading the group to find the correct information necessary to complete the mission. The captain will also be in charge of turning in work.
Pilot: The pilot will be "steering" the mission; using the computer to find the information needed to fill out the chart.
Data Recorder: The Data Recorder will be responsible for taking notes on the information found during the mission.
Engineer: The Engineer should brainstorm ways to present the information found to the other crews in class. Presentations can be in the format of PowerPoint, Play or 3D Model.
Once you have finished this WebQuest, you will fill out an Evaluation Form to grade your crew members on their participation in the mission. I will also be grading your WebQuest Chart and presentation. When you finish assigning jobs to your crew members, head to the next part of your mission: the Process section!
